Adam Thomson Personal Trainer Wellington ONI

My Story

Bsc Psychology
NASM Certified Personal Trainer

I first got into training as a skinny 16 year old who simply wanted to get bigger. Appearance was never something I was hugely fixated on, but at the same time, was something I wanted to work on. It took me a full year of working out with a pair of dumbbells in the garage before I got the confidence up enough to join a gym, so I fully understand how intimidating it can be to start.

About a year in, I began to really favour strength based training - and subsequently found powerlifting. I loved the objectivity of it - and the strong correlation between effort & results. By the time I was 19, I was well & truly hooked, picking up my first 250kg deadlift!

I want to provide a service where both mental & physical performance are focused on with a strong educational backing. I believe in ensuring I never become a crutch to my clients. I want to help you during your time with me, while also educating you to become more autonomous with your decision-making in & out of the gym. I never want my services to be relied on, rather utilised in helping you along in your own self development.
