Safety Measures at ONI for COVID-19
“Rest assured we are doing all that we can to provide you a safe environment to train in at ONI.”
As COVID-19 case numbers continue to rise (as we have been told to expect by the government), we wanted to provide some reassurance about the safety measures we have in place at ONI. These are all procedures that have been in place already and we will continue to uphold them to a high standard.
Face Masks: ONI staff continue to wear medical-grade (level 2 and above) face masks as per the government requirements to minimise possible transmission.
Limited Numbers: As our facility is a private studio and can only be used by appointment only, you won't have to worry about coming into a gym packed full of people.
Physical Distancing: Being able to control numbers in our studio means we also have the luxury of keeping clients distanced from each other while exercising, helping to further minimise possible transmission.
Hygiene/Cleaning: We will continue to maintain a high level of hygiene - washing hands between each client as well as the same spray and wipe procedure for contacted equipment, using hospital grade disinfectant.
Other Measures: Windows are always wide open to encourage more ventilation. We also use the air conditioning on hotter days, which helps to further improve air flow (and keep us all comfortably cool 😈)
Keep in mind these measures may become updated as the situation evolves. Rest assured we are doing all that we can to provide you a safe environment to train in at ONI.
Traffic Light System and ONI
- Updated 25th Feb 2022 -
On 3 December 2021, New Zealand adopted the Covid Protection Framework referred to as the Traffic Light System.
On 24 January 2022, New Zealand moved from the Orange Traffic Light setting to the Red Traffic Light setting.
ONI is categorised as an indoor recreation facility, and will operate using a vaccine certificate system while the Traffic Light System is in place. This means that you will only be able to enter the facility if you have a verifiable My Vaccine pass.
By following vaccine pass requirements, ONI can remain open at both Orange and Red settings. Without following vaccine pass requirements, ONI would be closed. We fully recognise that everyone has a right to choose and we respect everybody’s personal beliefs. For our studio to remain operating at a viable level though, we must do so as a vaccine-mandated facility.
How will ONI operate at Red?
Staff will wear medical-grade (level 2 or above) face masks
Clients may remove face masks when exercising
One-metre distancing between clients
Limited capacity in the studio (standard at all levels)
Covid tracer app must be used on arrival (standard at all levels)
*Please note that those with a mask exemption certificate are not required to wear a mask, and are exempt from the policy rules above.
How will ONI operate at Orange?
Medical-grade face masks are no longer required by Government guidelines, but is encouraged
Distancing between clients is no longer required
Limited capacity in the studio (standard at all levels)
COvid tracer app must be used on arrival (standard at all levels)
How will ONI operate at Green?
Detailed guidelines are yet to be made available by the government and Exercise New Zealand, but it does look like there are minimal restrictions at Green setting. We will be updating this as soon as we can.
At all levels, the ONI team will continue to operate with increased hygiene and cleaning protocols. We value this space and want to keep it as safe as we can for ourselves and our wonderful clients.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself or our amazing team.
Become Invincible,
Laurent
